Privacy Policy
Effective 1 March 2026This privacy policy applies to the Athlay app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Maksym Slobodianyk (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Commercial service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it.
2.1 Information You Provide
When you create an account and use Athlay, we collect:
- Profile information (name, email address, profile picture)
- Account credentials
- User preferences and settings
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
2.2 Information From Connected Apps and Devices
When you connect Athlay to other fitness apps or devices, we may collect:
- GPS routes and location data
- Workout statistics (distance, pace, duration, calories burned)
- Heart rate and other biometric data
- Performance metrics
- Any other fitness data provided by connected apps
- Profile data from connected apps when appropriate
This data is accessed via connected third-party services (e.g. Strava) solely to render overlays on your device. It is proxied in real-time and is never stored or retained on the Service Provider's servers. It may be temporarily cached on your device as part of normal app operation.
Third Party Access
The Application uses PostHog for anonymous usage analytics. Only aggregated, anonymized behavioral data (e.g. feature usage, screen views) is transmitted to PostHog. No fitness, health, or personally identifiable data is shared with PostHog.
The Service Provider may share your information with third parties only in the ways described in this privacy policy.

The Service Provider may disclose information:
- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
- When they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- With trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy policy.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available on your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace.
You may also revoke the Application's access to your connected accounts (e.g. Strava) at any time through the respective account settings of those services.
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider does not retain fitness or health data on its servers. Such data is processed transiently to deliver app functionality and remains on your device only.
Basic account information (such as your email address) is retained for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you would like this data to be deleted, please contact support@athlay.app and the Service Provider will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Application is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, it will be immediately deleted. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact support@athlay.app.
Security
The Service Provider is committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information it processes and maintains.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy regularly, as continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Your Consent
By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time.
